Community Service
2020-2021
For our 2020-21 Community Outreach Project we will be assisting a Petersburg family that is in need of some very basic items. We will assist them with non-perishable food items, and basic household items such as toilet paper, paper towels, soap detergent, sanitizer, etc, and monetary donations.
2016-2017
Our Community Outreach for 2016 and 2017 consisted of donating household and clothing items to the needy.
2015-2016
During 2015-2016 a child was selected off of the Annual Angel Tree in Southpark Mall during the Christmas Season, and gifts were bought for the child. The recipient was a nine months old girl and she was given everything on her wish list. Over $200 was collected and spent.
December 2015
This is a time when the Association can help individuals or assist other groups in making a difference in the lives of children, men and women. For many years during the Thanksgiving and/or Christmas holidays, TCAEOP has contributed to various food banks, homeless shelters, purchased toys and clothing for children, giving food baskets to individual families, and donated funds to community groups. All of these activities helped to brighten the lives of those in need. Contributing to the needs of the community allows the association members an opportunity to make a connection between their educational growth and their social growth.

TCAEOP Brings Joy To Two Children At Christmas
PETERSBURG – As a Community Outreach Project, the Tri-City Association of Educational Office Professionals wanted to make the Christmas holiday even brighter for two children. They secured the names of a boy and girl from the Petersburg Department of Social Services and purchased items from their Christmas wish lists, and more. Each child was given a bicycle, games, clothing and other toys, which brought bright smiles to their faces on Christmas morning. Pictured are TCAEOP Co-chairs for the Outreach Project, Lonnie Thomas and Jackie Eldridge presenting the items to Robert Thomas, Family Services Specialist for the Department of Social Services.
December 2012
Community Service has always been one of the highlights of TCAEOP. The holiday season was filled with joy; one of our members had a wonderful time shopping for a lovely little girl selected from the Salvation Army Angel Tree. All donations were delivered on Saturday, December 8, 2012. Items were delivered in huge gift bags; there was nothing but happiness and joy on the face of the little angel.
November 2012
Canned goods donation to Martha for the Homeless
The TCAEOP contributed a check donation to Martha for the Homeless in the amount of $200 on November 14, 2012. In addition to the $200 check, we delivered and donated over 50 canned goods. Every year, we find pride in donating to the Martha For The Homeless. Martha For The Homeless Inc., is a nonprofit Tri-Cities food distribution center that gives aid to the hungry and homeless daily.
